Today the blog colour is Purple, now purple usually makes me feel very serene. I don’t own any purple clothing, I would however use the colour in my home because it is a very beautiful colour especially when used correctly. This colour reminds me of lavenders and how lovely they smell.
Ok less talk about smells and more about the actual colour Purple/Violet.
The psychological effects of purple in the home work to give the space a dignified and dramatic look. Purple, after all, is the color of royalty.

I mean ok, this is so dramatic with the metallic purple screams royalty? –
The color purple relates to the imagination and spirituality. It stimulates the imagination and inspires high ideals. It is an introspective color, allowing us to get in touch with our deeper thoughts.

This explanation for the psychologies of Purple/Violet explains that you can basically integrate this colour probably anywhere you need to be more imaginative or spiritual, for me it’s usually my bedroom and lounge.
I absolutely love dark purple and the more pastel purple as well, above is more of a representation of the kind of lounge I would have if it was purple.
This colour though❤️ I’m starting to think I’m obsessed with scatter cushions.
More or less what my bedroom will look like if I decide to go with Purple at any given point. I love the colour, I am slightly less prone to over use it.
This is a beautiful space, I absolutely love the map on the wall. Literally the only thing I would change is the legs of the table from purple to gold steel. The gold would go very well with the wood on the chairs and the slight brown on the map, ties in beautifully.
I hope you enjoyed this blog, any feedback you have post in the comment section.
