Hey Artsies 🌿

It has been a minute since I wrote a blog here, don’t ever believe that it’s because I don’t love Interior anymore.

Today I wanted to write about house plants and their importance to our health as well as how they assist in the feng shui of the home. Simple house plants need to be watered once a week, increase the purity of oxygen you breathe in, clear up the air around you and allow good energies to move freely in your home.

Succulents

The most amazing thing about succulents is they are the ones that’ll thrive even without the continuous tender loving care and attention. She only needs water once her soil is extremely dry. Majority of plants, even the ones we water once a week need love and talking to throughout the week to thrive. With succulents you simply give them love when you can and they won’t wither in despair. Giving better air quality and circulation as well as providing that little bit of humidity in dry weather conditions.

Snake Plants

Snake plants would probably second on the list of less needy plants, now I’m not saying the needy don’t deserve the love, it just sometimes fits in better into your life. Lots of love and conversations, however with her you only water her every 2 weeks or so. the benefits of this beauty are that it filters the air around your home and removes pollutants.

Pothos

The beauty of the group that you are most likely than not to find in the home of your family and friends when you visit. This is a cool one because you can literally leave it in a glass of water and replace the water once a week or water your baby once every week or 2 weeks. This is another good plant for air purification and if you live in the city you know this would be the best for you.

Ficus Elastica

The girlies really like this plant, it gives that working woman who loves to take care of things. This is another one of those plants that only needs to be watered every week or two with a lot of love and affirmations so she stays well and beautiful. The benefits are that it doesn’t release allergens and purifies the air around you.

Feng Shui

In terms of plant placements in your home, it tends to be good to put at least one plant per room in your home to get the benefit of each plant. Taking into affect the issues you might have in each room, example coughing at night or needing a humidifier. Even in the day when you spend time in your office or lounge how the air quality is can indicate the amount of plants you add to it, tastefully. Each plant in terms of feng shui will give a spiritual or energetic meaning, bigger plants may give growth, plants with many leaves can encourage abundance and the greener leaves trigger a healthy mindset when it comes to eating, working and time spent in the home. There’s particular plants that are for money, however I believe all of these plants can encourage these because money thrives in healthy, clean and clear spaces as this encourages the flow of energy.
