Hi Artsies ❤️

The colour red… is for love. Well some people say this however I think it’s all dependent on a particular person’s view of the world.

My best friend loves this colour?

Red is actually a bit over powering for Interiors in my opinion, let’s see if I can find great ways to incorporate red.

This is beautifully put together, this kind of colour scheme I’d prefer it in the lounge or dining room and have a tiled bathroom as below if it’s still red.

The beautiful thing about these tiles is that they are shades of red. This can easily give a more romantic feel with the correct lighting, bringing relaxation and calmness to someone. This is the reason I love these tiles more than the paint, paint is more of one tone and one mood.

According to the following link the psychology of the colour red – https://www.colorpsychology.org/red/

Enhances human metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure.

Makes sense why most of us just want to eat when we see fast food logos(I hope you can think of a few logos that have the colour red and you simply can’t resist).

Red wouldn’t be such a good idea in the kitchen because of this reason, you’ll find yourself eating more unless that’s what you’re aiming for. The colour still looks amazing in the picture below.

White just works with everything, I’m very much a minimalist type of person and believe good things shouldn’t be overused so please please never over use red(even if it is your favourite colour).

If you do decide to be brave with red the above picture is beautiful, that rustic feel gives that homely feeling. Remember that the furniture and kitchenware should be a different colour which compliments the red(not as bold as the red though).

I love this, mainly because it is not a screaming red which goes well with a room like a lounge which is designed as a place to relax.

For the bedroom however I would prefer it with red accents, so maybe a red couch, scatter cushions, a throw and a painting with a little red in it. This way I know I can change it if ever I need to, which is always great with the changing seasons.

That’s all for red, if you have any ideas you’d like to share with me comment below.
